Ezra's Playdate
Where Childhood Feels Like Home!
A Little Home. A Lot of Love. A Place to Play, Learn & Grow.
At Ezra’s Playdate, we provide a warm, nurturing in-home childcare environment where little ones can feel safe, have fun, build friendships, and grow at their own pace.
As parents ourselves, we understand that choosing childcare is about more than finding someone to watch your child. It’s about finding someone you trust with your greatest treasure.
That’s why we created Ezra’s Playdate.
ABOUT US
Meet the Family behind Ezra's Playdate
Hi! We are Kate and Nick, the parents behind Ezra’s Playdate. With over 20 years of experience, Kate has raised multiple children from newborns to toddlers. Nick is a corporate executive and raised his two nieces from diaper age to their first days of school.
We’re stay-at-home parents to our wonderful 2-year-old son, Ezra, and we created Ezra’s Playdate from a simple idea:
What if childcare could feel a little more like home?
Our goal is to provide a small, personal, and loving environment where children can spend their days playing, exploring, learning, resting, and developing early social connections. Because we are parents ourselves, we understand the trust that comes with leaving your child in someone else’s care.
We also have firsthand experience navigating food allergies with our own son. That experience has taught us the importance of being proactive, attentive, prepared, and thoughtful about safety every day.
Our approach is simple:
- Safety first.
- Love always.
- Learning through play.
- Growing together.
And there’s an extra bonus for your little one: They get an instant playdate every day.
Ezra loves having a friend around to play, explore, laugh, and learn with. We believe those early interactions can be a wonderful foundation for developing communication, confidence, sharing, cooperation, and friendship.
We’re excited to welcome your family into ours.

Ezra’s Playdate is designed around the natural rhythm of young children.
Our days combine active play, learning, social interaction, meals/snacks as applicable, and plenty of time to rest.
01
Sensory Play
Little hands love to explore!
We provide age-appropriate sensory activities that encourage curiosity while supporting fine-motor skills, coordination, creativity, and exploration.
02
Story Time
Through stories, songs, and conversation, we encourage language development, imagination, listening skills, and a lifelong love of books.
03
Creative & Learning Activities
We incorporate simple, age-appropriate activities designed to help children explore colors, shapes, numbers, language, movement, music, and the world around them.
04
Safe, Active Play
From toys and games to movement and imaginative play, children have opportunities to explore and have fun in a supervised environment.
05
Rest & Nap Time
Busy little minds and bodies need time to recharge.
We provide a calm environment for naps and quiet time based on each child's age and individual routine.
06
Social Development
Children learn a tremendous amount from one another.
Playing with Ezra and other children provides natural opportunities to practice sharing, communication, cooperation, turn-taking, and early friendship skills.
07
Individual Attention
Because we maintain a small, home-based environment, we are able to get to know each child and their individual personality, preferences, routines, and needs.
A Safe Space where a child grows and thrives
We believe children are life's greatest treasures that require our time, focus, and attention to grow and thrive.
01
SAFETY
Your child’s safety is always our first priority.
We maintain a carefully supervised, child-friendly environment and take preparation, awareness, and age-appropriate safety seriously.
02
LOVE
Children thrive when they feel secure, valued, and cared for.
We want every child to feel welcomed, comforted, encouraged, and loved while they’re with us.
03
GROWTH
Young children learn through everything they do.
We encourage development through sensory experiences, stories, creative activities, movement, exploration, and play.
04
CONNECT
Early social experiences matter.
Through play and everyday interactions, children have opportunities to practice communication, cooperation, sharing, patience, empathy, and friendship.
